குறள் 39:
"அறத்தான் வருவதே இன்பம் மற்றெல்லாம் புறத்த புகழும் இல."
விளக்கம்: லாபம் "அறம்/நேர்மை" உடன் வந்தால்தான் அது உண்மையான வெற்றி. அறம் இல்லாத லாபம் நீடிக்காது; புகழும் தராது.
குறள் 291:
வாய்மை எனப்படுவது யாதெனின் யாதொன்றும் தீமை இலாத சொலல்."
விளக்கம்: உண்மை பேசுவது என்பது-யாருக்கும் தீங்கு வராத வகையில் நேர்மையாக பேசுதல். எல்லாத்திலும் இதுதான் அடிப்படை. வேலை/கஸ்டமர்/டீம்
குறள் 391:
"கற்க கசடறக் கற்பவை கற்றபின் நிற்க அதற்குத் தக."
விளக்கம்: கற்றது வெறும் தகவல் அல்ல; கற்றதற்கு தகுந்த மாதிரி நடத்தை/வேலை திறன் மேம்பாடு இருக்கணும்.
குறள் 619:
"தெய்வத்தான் ஆகா தெனினும் முயற்சிதன் மெய்வருத்தக் கூலி தரும்."
விளக்கம்: எனக்குத் தெரியல / முடியல" என்று ஒதுங்காமல் முயற்சி செய்தால் பலன் கிடைக்கும். Ownership என்றால் excuses இல்லை; action தான்.
குறள் 121:
"அடக்கம் அமரருள் உய்க்கும் அடங்காமை ஆரிருள் உய்த்து விடும்."
விளக்கம்: கட்டுப்பாடு + ஒழுங்கு (discipline) ஒருவரை உயர்த்தும். அலட்சியம்/அடங்காமை வேலை தரம், நேரம், பெயர் எல்லாத்தையும் கெடுக்கும்.
குறள் 115:
"கேடும் பெருக்கமும் இல்லல்ல நெஞ்சத்துக் கோடாமை சான்றோர்க்கு அணி."
விளக்கம்: லாபம்/இழப்பு வந்தாலும் மனசு "நடுவு நிலை" தவறக்கூடாது. Bias/partiality இல்லாமல் அனைவரையும் சமமா நடத்தணும்.
குறள் 294:
"உள்ளத்தாற் பொய்யா தொழுகின் உலகத்தார் உள்ளத்து ளெல்லாம் உளன்."
விளக்கம்: உள்ளமும் செயலுமாக பொய் இல்லாமல் வெளிப்படையாக நடந்தா- அதுதான் trust உருவாக்கும். மறைவு/மறைமுகம் trust-ஐ உடைக்கும்.
